Fair Volunteer Form

Volunteers are a vital part of our annual Fair, we very much appreciate your interest!
The 2026 Tillamook County Fair will be held August 5-8.

Details:
  • All volunteers will need to sign a Volunteer Form at the Fair Office prior to their date of service.
  • Volunteers may be subject to a background check depending on the volunteer role.
  • If volunteering for community service, please provide your community service requirements.
  • Ticket takers and merchandise sales volunteers need to have cash handling skills.
  • Volunteers will receive free admission based on the amount of shifts they sign up for.

1. Distribute posters: Volunteer will be responsible for driving their own vehicle to businesses and organizations in a specific area of Tillamook County to distribute posters for display. [timeframe: 6-8 weeks before Fair]

2. Fair Theme & Decor: Volunteer(s) will help bring the Fairgrounds to life by decorating spaces in line with the year’s theme, using thoughtful layout and creative design. This includes arranging welcoming, functional resting and family areas. A creative eye and the ability to work independently are important. [timeframe: 3-4 weeks before Fair up through Fair week]

3. Open Class Dept Volunteer: Assist Open Class Supervisor with department set up, labeling, and covering shifts for hosting the department during Fair. [timeframe: the week of Fair]

4. Open Class Exhibit Entry Intake: Assist in receiving and distributing Open Class Exhibits for this year's Fair. [timeframe: the week before Fair including the weekend, and the final two days before Fair]

5. Fair Ticket Booth: Man a ticket booth based on available shifts. Responsible for selling tickets and processing cash and electronic payments accurately using the Fair's ticketing system. Basic technology skills and strong cash-handling skills are important for this role. [timeframe: Fair dates]

6. Fair Merchandise Sales: Help run the Fair's merchandise booth based on available shifts, selling items and assisting customers using the POS system. Requires strong customer service, basic tech skills, and accurate cash handling. [timeframe: Fair dates]

. Fair Parking Attendant: Help direct traffic in the parking area, guiding vehicles to open rows and available spaces. Requires clear communication, awareness of surroundings, and a friendly, helpful attitude. [timeframe: Fair dates]

8. Fair Office Support: A
ssist in the Fair office by answering phones and staffing the information window to help guests. Requires strong customer service skills and basic computer proficiency. [timeframe: Fair week]

9. Fair General Volunteer: This position is ideal for individuals who are adaptable, willing to help in different areas, and open to a variety of tasks. [timeframe: variable]
